National Domestic Violence Hotline

Inside & OutA salon provides a logical place for victims to find a friend to help. They help people inside & out. If a Stylist notices hints of violence such as a bruise or clumps of hair missing or a manicurist sees cuts or a cosmetologist/masseuse sees a bruise, it makes sense for them to offer community support. Further; sometimes there are no physical signs and even though these professionals are not counselors, they are excellent listeners and can be an advocate to available resources. As trained Cut It Out facilitators, the Crisis Connection staff offers professional materials and education for personal care professionals through the Inside & Out program so personal care professionals can better understand the scope of abuse. They learn to debunk any myths and establish approaches & protocols for their clients and employees to seek qualified, confidential help. Real Beauty Workshop Too many girls develop low self-esteem from hang-ups about looks and, consequently, fail to reach their full potential later in life. As trained facilitator’s of the program, the Crisis Connection staff use Dove’s Real Beauty materials to conduct workshops as an agent of change to educate and inspire young women on a wider definition of beauty. You can contact a Crisis Connection presenter by e-mail, by phone 1.812.482.1555, by fax at 1.812.482.1571, or by U.S. mail at P.O. Box 903 Jasper, IN 47547. There is no charge for our presentation unless outside
